New Entrant/Blurbs (10/14/2017)

Hey guys! Here is the entrant we will be reviewing this week:

• Charlie Puth - How Long (#30)

How Long
As Attention slowly dies out here and elsewhere, Puth decides to create a follow-up, titled How Long. He also talks about a relationship on this one. Now, I really like the vibe and production. His vocals are also really good. So this is a good single for your album, Voicenotes. Congrats, Charlie Puth. You have impressed me again.

Rating: 18/20

And It Blurbs Like... Ohh-Oh-Ohh-Oh-Ohh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Ohh-Oh (worst title ever)
• So, Hoodie doesn’t get to go into the Top 20 and it is their best. And Back to You just ran out of lemonade and hit the tail of the countdown. HOW LOVELY *sarcasm alert!* I’m still questioned how this isn’t doing better than Liam Payne - Strip That Down. I heard that Liam Payne might be releasing a new song called Bedroom Floor, though. Hopefully, that one is better than this and Get Low.

Stay, Believer, Castle on the Hill, and It Ain’t Me have all been demoted to turquoise in the past couple weeks. They all just need to leave right now, and I mean RIGHT NOW!

• For our debuts last week, Rain (the new Best Song On The Countdown) dropped 1, ...Ready for It? down 5, and Havana down 3. Meanwhile, only Let Me Go made a jump, and interestingly, it is the Biggest Jump of the Week. I expected that though because it aired a lot.

• Due to How Long’s debut, Attention drops into the bottom 5. It would be great if this could leave soon because it is only getting more mediocre every listen.

• Yikes. Praying is dropping even more. Do me a favor and jump back into the Top 10, or even 5, please.

• Don’t even get me started on the jump from Body Like a Back Road into the Top 20. I swear, this is getting more irritating every listen and is one of those songs that kill me every time I listen. Please just leave and never come back.

• I’m really glad to see that 1-800-273-8255 is gaining traction around here. We need more songs like this because suicide is very serious and plus, the video has 92M views on YouTube. It’s also pretty rare for a song just like this to do well, mainly because Hits 1 would support a rapper like Logic.

• As you can see, Something Just Like This jumped back into the Top 10. This song is really starting to wane on me right now. And not to mention that stolen drop from Roses featuring Rozes. It would be good if this and Sorry Not Sorry, something else I am waning on right now, could leave the Top 20 soon because they’re starting to get on my nerves.

• Looking at the Top 3, Thunder just jumped in, exceeding our success expectations by a long shot. Then you have the very obnoxious Strip That Down at #2, but at least it isn’t #1 (HOORAY!), which, as a fact, is Galway Girl. Like I said in the into, I think this is the first time since something like New Romantics or One Call Away when our #1 isn’t a hit across the country at the time.
